Calvin was born and raised in Chattanooga, TN. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX and began a career in his family's retail furniture business. God called him into vocational ministry. He received his Master of Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. Prior to coming to Bull Street in the summer of 2008, Calvin served as the Community Pastor at East Cooper Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant, SC.

Pastor Calvin and his wife are blessed with 5 wonderful children spanning a 17 year age range! He enjoys spending time with his family waterskiing, bike riding, wood carving, furniture making. Calvin has a passion for pastoral ministry and is committed to expository preaching and teaching. He earnestly desires to see men, women, boys and girls transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Matthew grew up as a Preacher’s Kid near the Southern California coastline near Los Angeles. His father, also a pastor, moved the family east to Pittsburgh to serve in ministry. Matthew's own call to ministry came during his college days while pursuing studies toward a medical degree, and he transferred to Alderson-Broaddus Baptist College in West Virginia, earning the Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Performance and Church Music. In the fall of 1998, Matthew continued his ministry & music studies at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, earning a Master’s degree in Church Music in 2000. Matthew also completed coursework toward the Doctorate of Musical Arts degree at SBTS in 2006 and graduated in 2010 with a Doctorate in Music Ministry. He was ordained for ministry in 2007.

In addition to being a seminary adjunct faculty member, he has served in full time ministry in Georgia and Kentucky and often travels to lead worship and teach ministry seminars in both church and conference settings. He has been happily married to his best friend (who also holds a seminary degree), since 2007 --who also serves as church pianist and director of the Women's Ministry here at BSBC. They are the proud parents of two energetic toddlers. Matthew delights in spending time with his family, and while he's temporarily traded in his running shoes & completed marathons for T-ball practices and higher swing pushes, Matthew & his family value their time serving the Body of Christ at Bull Street and the many families it represents. Above all, he desires to model a life of authentic worship and for others to know the true Gospel of peace--found in Christ alone by faith alone.

Glenn grew up in central Florida. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Youth Pastoral Ministry from Baptist Bible College, Clarks Summit, PA, and his Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, KY.

He has over ten years of experience in youth and family ministry, most recently serving as youth pastor for Trinity Baptist Church in Fayetteville, NC. Glenn also served on staff for two summers at Doe River Gorge Ministries in Hampton, TN. He is so thankful to God for the blessing of being one of the pastors here at Bull Street.

In June of 2000 Glenn married his high school sweet heart, and God has blessed them with three great children! Glenn enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, reading and storytelling, experimenting with BBQ on his smoker, Florida State football, and any number of outdoor activities from disc golf to hiking and high adventure. When he’s not in the office you may find Glenn in a local coffee shop (or in one of Savannah’s many fine downtown bookstores).
